Intoxicating Sun!

Ah......... sun....... at last! I have to admit, I've been a tad whiny about the weather. But today was glorious! I actually enjoyed cleaning my windows and, as I told a good friend of mine, when you enjoy cleaning windows, you know you must be sun-starved! But it truly was good for my sun-deprived soul to be out there soaking in every last drop of the sun's comforting rays.

My sunroom is my favorite place in our home. Even on yukky days, it's lovely. I have it decorated in shabby chic decor which I only just discovered last year that such a thing existed. I just remember walking into a shabby chic shop in Victoria and going, "Ahhhhhhhh!" It was like coming home. I knew right then that I needed a room with that decor.

So I took my time, looked around and, being a long-time cheapskate, did not want to pay the prices I was seeing for what I wanted. But I found some wonderful pieces on eBay that were very affordable, as well as painting up a few things myself, and now I love my sunroom to pieces.

It's funny how things work out sometimes. I really liked our previous home but there were just a few things that I really wished it had... like a workshop, a sunroom and a more private yard. Well this home we found has all of those things and the way we came by it was truly amazing. A long story...maybe for another blog post. But we both have no doubt in our minds that it was divinely picked for us by 'someone' much smarter than we are and who knows us so well. So, not a day goes by that I am not thankful for this wonderful place.

Well, I had better go to bed because it's midnight and tomorrow I am planning a special dinner for my hubby because it is our anniversary. Oops... it's midnight so I guess it's today! Speaking of things to be thankful for... my husband is right on the top of the list. Once again, 'someone' much smarter than I, planned that we would meet and get married. That is a whole other story which I will also have to write as another blog post. Talk about miracles!

Nightie night, whoever might be reading this. I wish for you many miracles!
