Our New Seaside Serving Tray

Cheryl and I decided to try our hands at some something brand new for A2Sea Creations. Here is our first seaside serving tray that we designed and handcrafted together. It can double as wall art by just adding a hanger on the back. It would make an ideal gift for a bride who is having a beach wedding, someone who lives near the ocean, or for anyone who loves the sea!

Our new seaside tray won't be for sale on our site, however, we hope to have a few for sale in a local gift shop. We shall see... if so, we will keep people posted here and on Facebook. Lately, I have been enamoured with layering in photography. It just gives the images a wonderful artistic, mysterious mood that I am so attracted to. The only problem is, I need to learn how to do it in Photoshop because it is quite time-consuming on the archaic computer program that I use. So my goal in the very near future, without fail, must be to tackle that hurdle.

This latest photo of mine is a mix of two different photos I had taken, which I brought all together with a palette of colour and textures in the background. I have a "Name the Photo" Contest going on at present on Facebook. If you would like to participate, click here. A2SEA COMES TO EBAY!

Today we, at A2Sea Creations, brought our seaside treasures to eBay for the first time! We wanted to combine our intense love for the sea with our appreciation for vintage designs. So we combined the two in our new and delightful 'Vintage Inspired Seaside Glass Pendant'. And the best part is, you can pick out your favorite design out of all the wonderful choices of vintage pictures we have on display! So cool! At our online shop, we create and sell unique, beautifully handcrafted, ocean-inspired treasures designed to bring the West Coast into your home. We take pride in the fact that we use primarily local, organic, recycled, upcycled & eco-friendly materials that we collect with our own little hands from the beaches of Vancouver Island, BC. Canada. We bleach all the shells we collect, wash the driftwood and dry it with the seaweed in my oven (interesting smell!) It is truly a labour of love and we love what we do. The winner will be announced on April 15th (entry deadline is April 13th) and will receive a ready-to-frame 8x10 photo of their choice (with matting and archival-safe backing) by Vancouver Island Photographer, Micki Findlay. To view photos go to our new Photography Shop and pick your favorite!

The winner's name will be posted with an announcement on our blog and their story will be featured. OUR NEW PHOTOGRAPHY SHOP

Well, our new photography shop is open and ready for business! It only took me until 5:00 this morning but it's done! I'm feeling a little weary today... gee, I wonder why. But I have to say, it was fun getting it up and running, even though, I admit, I nodded off a few times in my chair while doing it. So if the site says anything odd, you will know why.

There 19 photos up for sale and I will be adding to our shop regularly so it is well worth checking back from time to time. Primarily we are featuring ocean-themed photography but in the near future, there will be a wider variety of scenes and subjects to choose from.

Well, I would write more but I am not too zippy today, as you can well imagine. Do stop by our new shop and take a gander. Soon, I will unveil our new contest so keep your eyes peeled! I do love a good contest!
